LingoYoga is a language-learning application operated by RazonX DevHaus Private Limited, a company incorporated in India, having its registered office at B-42/2, 1st Floor, Double Storey, Ramesh Nagar, New Delhi, West Delhi, Delhi, India 110015 (“RazonX”, “LingoYoga”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal data when you access or use LingoYoga and the Services.

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

This Privacy Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and Refund and Cancellation Policy. Capitalised terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in the Terms.

We have included a plain-English summary at the end of this Privacy Policy for convenience. That summary is not a substitute for this Privacy Policy and does not limit, replace, or modify the provisions below. If the summary conflicts with this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy will prevail.

1. Who We Are

For the purposes of applicable privacy laws, RazonX DevHaus Private Limited is generally the entity responsible for deciding how personal data is collected and used in connection with LingoYoga.

Where payments, taxes, subscriptions, invoicing, refunds, chargebacks, or fraud-prevention checks are handled by a merchant of record, payment processor, app store, or other payment service provider, that provider may process certain information as an independent controller or under its own terms and privacy policy.

Our merchant of record is currently Dodo Payments.

2. Age Requirements and Children’s Privacy

LingoYoga is intended for users aged 13 and above.

If you are under 18, you may use LingoYoga only with the consent and supervision of your parent or legal guardian. By using the Services, you confirm that you are at least 18, or that you are at least 13 and have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian.

LingoYoga is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account or provided personal data to us, we may delete the account and associated data.

We do not knowingly use children’s personal data for targeted advertising.

Where required by applicable law, we may take additional steps to obtain, verify, or confirm parent or guardian consent.

3. Information We Collect

We follow a data-minimisation approach. We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Services.

3.1 Account and Login Information

When you create or access an account, we may collect:

  1. your email address;
  2. login provider identifiers, such as Google, Apple, Discord, or other authentication-provider IDs;
  3. authentication metadata necessary to create, secure, and maintain your account; and
  4. account status, subscription status, and access permissions.

If a third-party login provider makes additional profile information available, such as a display name or profile image, we do not use it unless necessary for account functionality, and we aim not to store it unless required for the Services.

3.2 Learning Data

To provide language-learning functionality, we may collect and store learning-related data, including:

  1. flashcards created by you;
  2. your answers, attempts, mistakes, corrections, review history, scores, and progress;
  3. spaced-repetition scheduling data;
  4. learning path progress;
  5. trainer, game, and quiz activity;
  6. language preferences and learning settings;
  7. mistake-generated flashcards; and
  8. session summaries and performance indicators.

This information is necessary for LingoYoga to provide personalised review, spaced repetition, progress tracking, and learning features.

3.3 User Content

You may create, upload, import, store, or generate content through the Services, including:

  1. text flashcards;
  2. image flashcards;
  3. imported CSV or similar learning materials; and
  4. notes, examples, translations, prompts, answers, and other study material.

At launch, user-created flashcards are not publicly shared by default and are intended for your own learning and review. This means they are not visible to other users by default. However, flashcard content may be stored and processed by LingoYoga’s systems and service providers as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, support, and improve the Services, comply with law, and enforce our Terms. We do not offer public community decks at launch.

You are responsible for the content you create, upload, import, or store. You must not upload personal data, confidential information, copyrighted material, unlawful material, offensive content, or third-party content unless you have the necessary rights, permissions, and lawful basis to do so.

3.4 Image Uploads

If you create image flashcards, the images you upload may be stored on our systems or with our storage providers so that we can display them to you and make them available in your account.

You must not upload images that:

  1. infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, personality, or other rights;
  2. contain personal data of other individuals without lawful permission;
  3. contain identity documents, financial information, health information, classroom lists, private communications, or other sensitive information; or
  4. are sexually explicit, hateful, abusive, violent, exploitative, discriminatory, defamatory, unlawful, or otherwise inappropriate.

We may remove content or restrict access if we reasonably believe it violates our Terms, this Privacy Policy, applicable law, or the rights of others.

3.5 Payment and Subscription Information

We may receive limited information from our merchant of record, payment processor, app store, or subscription provider, such as:

  1. your subscription plan;
  2. payment status;
  3. renewal, cancellation, refund, or chargeback status;
  4. transaction identifiers;
  5. country, tax region, currency, or pricing information;
  6. fraud-prevention, risk, or compliance signals; and
  7. invoice or receipt status.

We do not intend to collect or store full card numbers or sensitive payment credentials. Such information is handled by the applicable payment provider under its own terms and privacy policy.

We may use country, tax-region, currency, and fraud-prevention information to provide local pricing, purchasing access, tax compliance, subscription management, abuse prevention, and account security.

3.6 Technical, Security, and Log Data

When you use the Services, we may collect technical data such as:

  1. IP address;
  2. device type;
  3. browser type and version;
  4. operating system;
  5. approximate location derived from IP address;
  6. date and time of access;
  7. pages or features accessed;
  8. error logs;
  9. security events; and
  10. rate-limit, anti-abuse, and fraud-prevention signals.

We use this information to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Services.

3.7 Analytics Data

We may use privacy-conscious product analytics tools, such as PostHog, to understand how users interact with the Services, identify broken or confusing features, improve learning flows, and measure product performance.

Our analytics are intended to be event-based. We do not use session replay or screen-recording tools at launch.

Analytics events may include information such as feature usage, button clicks, lesson completion, error events, subscription funnel events, and general usage patterns.

We store and process flashcard content to provide the Services. However, we do not intentionally send the full contents of your flashcards, uploaded images, or imported learning materials to analytics tools unless necessary to investigate abuse, maintain security, comply with law, or diagnose a user-reported issue.

3.8 Error Monitoring

We may use error-monitoring tools, such as Sentry, to identify bugs, crashes, performance issues, and security problems.

Error logs may include technical information about your device, browser, session, and the feature where the error occurred. We aim to avoid intentionally sending full flashcard content, uploaded images, or sensitive user-generated content to error-monitoring tools, except where necessary to diagnose a user-reported issue, investigate abuse, maintain security, or comply with law.

3.9 Communications and Support Data

If you contact us, we may collect:

  1. your email address;
  2. the content of your message;
  3. support history; and
  4. information necessary to respond to your request.

We use this information to provide support, investigate issues, respond to complaints, and maintain records of communications.

3.10 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:

  1. keep you signed in;
  2. remember preferences;
  3. secure your account;
  4. prevent abuse;
  5. measure product usage; and
  6. improve performance.

Where required by law, we will seek consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

A separate Cookie Notice or cookie-preferences tool may be provided at [Cookie Notice / Cookie Preferences URL].

3.11 AI-Generated Voices, Future Speech, Audio, TTS, and STT Features

LingoYoga may use text-to-speech, synthetic audio, or AI-generated voice technology to provide spoken examples, pronunciation support, audio flashcards, listening practice, verbal review, or similar learning features.

Where you hear a text-to-speech or synthetic voice in LingoYoga, the voice is AI-generated and is not a human voice.

At launch, LingoYoga does not provide user audio uploads as a core feature.

In the future, we may introduce features such as text-to-speech audio flashcards, speech recognition, verbal review, pronunciation practice, or audio downloads.

Where speech recognition is browser-based, your speech may be processed by your browser, operating system, device provider, or browser speech-recognition provider according to their own settings and policies. Unless we state otherwise, LingoYoga does not intentionally store raw voice recordings for browser-based speech recognition.

If we introduce third-party speech, audio, text-to-speech, or speech-to-text APIs, we will update this Privacy Policy or provide additional notices where appropriate.

4. Information You Should Not Upload

LingoYoga is a language-learning tool. It is not designed to store sensitive, confidential, or regulated information.

You must not upload, type, import, paste, or store:

  1. government identification documents;
  2. financial information;
  3. health or medical information;

  8. confidential business information;
  9. copyrighted text or images unless you have the necessary rights; or
  10. unlawful, hateful, violent, abusive, sexually explicit, defamatory, or discriminatory content.

If you voluntarily upload information that you should not have uploaded, you remain responsible for that content. We will apply reasonable safeguards to content stored on our systems, but we are not responsible for consequences caused by your decision to upload unlawful, personal, sensitive, confidential, infringing, or inappropriate content.

5. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through the Services to:

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not send marketing emails unless you separately opt in. We may send service-related emails, such as account, security, subscription, legal, policy, or important product notices.

6. Legal Bases Where Required

Where applicable privacy laws require us to identify a legal basis for processing personal data, we rely on one or more of the following bases:

  1. Contractual necessity: to provide the Services you request, manage your account, and deliver subscription features;

  3. Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, improve, analyse, and protect the Services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights;
  4. Legal obligations: to comply with tax, accounting, consumer protection, fraud-prevention, and other legal requirements; and
  5. Vital or public interests: where necessary to protect safety or comply with lawful requests.

7. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers and partners who help us operate the Services, including:

  1. hosting and infrastructure providers;
  2. database and storage providers;
  3. authentication providers;

8. Third-Party Services

The Services may rely on or integrate with third-party services, including login providers, payment providers, cloud hosting providers, analytics tools, error-monitoring tools, storage providers, and future AI, speech, or audio providers.

Your use of third-party login, payment, browser, device, app-store, or speech-recognition functionality may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third parties.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services that we do not control.

9. International Transfers

RazonX is based in India, but the Services may be used globally. Your information may be processed in India and in other countries where we, our service providers, or our infrastructure partners operate.

These countries may have privacy laws different from those in your country. Where required, we will take reasonable steps to protect personal data transferred internationally, including through appropriate contractual, technical, and organisational safeguards.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

General retention principles include:

  1. account data is retained while your account remains active;
  2. learning data and user-created flashcards are retained while your account remains active or until you delete them, subject to technical limitations and backups;

Backup copies may persist for a limited period and are generally deleted, overwritten, or isolated within 30 to 90 days, unless longer retention is required for legal, security, or operational reasons.

11. Account Deletion and Your Choices

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@lingoyoga.com or through any in-app deletion tool we may provide.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

If you subscribed through a merchant of record, payment processor, or app store, deleting your LingoYoga account may not automatically cancel your subscription with that third party. You may need to cancel through the applicable payment provider or app store.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These measures may include access controls, authentication safeguards, encryption in transit, secure infrastructure, logging, monitoring, rate limiting, and security reviews.

However, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for using secure devices, browsers, and networks.

13. Account-Level Flashcards and User Responsibility

At launch, user-created flashcards are not publicly shared by default. They are intended for your own learning and review, but they may be stored, processed, accessed, reviewed, moderated, removed, disclosed, or otherwise handled where reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, support, debug, improve, or enforce the Services; comply with law; respond to user requests; investigate suspected abuse, infringement, unlawful content, security incidents, or technical issues; or protect the rights, safety, and legitimate interests of users, RazonX, service providers, or third parties.

You must not use LingoYoga to store or process content that you are not legally permitted to use, including copyrighted text, copyrighted images, textbook extracts, paid course materials, classroom materials, third-party translations, private communications, personal data of others, confidential material, or unlawful content.

If a claim, complaint, dispute, or legal demand arises from content that you created, uploaded, imported, or stored, you are responsible for that content under our Terms.

14. Pricing, Location, and Fraud Prevention

LingoYoga may offer localised pricing, purchasing options, tax treatment, promotional offers, or subscription availability based on country, region, currency, payment method, tax rules, or other relevant factors.
